Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his part in the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was at college Christopher Meloni has always been interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in films and television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous audience. There is no doubt that his characters have been able to capture the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either side of the legal system. He was the voice of a serial murderer in his first television series project and then went on to play the role as an NYPD detective. He was repeatedly nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes, which are considered as a signature and help in portraying rough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
